Welcome to Panter Elementary!  We hope you are as excited about beginning this new school year as we are.

One way to ensure a smooth transition is through communication. As questions arise throughout the year, please do not hesitate to ask. The teachers and staff members will keep you informed of your child’s academic and behavioral progress. We ask that parents make us aware of any special needs your child may have, or any life changes that may have an impact on your child’s learning. The connection between home and school is essential to student achievement.

The teachers have planned fun learning activities that create a challenge and foster independent thinking. It is our goal to have each student meet with academic success and develop a love for learning.

Please remember to take advantage of any opportunity to expose your child to learning new concepts and improving skills that will help him/her to be successful during the school year. Take a few minutes each day to share a book with your child and ask questions about the story. This will help to build comprehension. As you make trips to the grocery store have your child identify money, count out the amount you need to purchase your items, or determine how much change you should get back. You will be surprised how much children learn just by taking part in everyday activities. Remember learning begins at home!

We look forward to a successful partnership!

Sincerely,

Priscilla Smith
