Last week students worked on Movement, Rhythm, and Proportion. This Monday we completed the finishing touches on our Principles of Design books. Tuesday students begin a unit on drawing. The first lessons will be on Linear Perspective. Over the next few weeks students will learn to draw from observation by breaking things down to simple shapes, placement (relative to eye level), and proportion (size comparisons) in order to translate what they see in the three-dimensional world onto a flat sheet of paper. Ask your students about the water! |
