Sammy McClure Middle School is participating in the Georgia Natural Gas TrueBlue Schools Program. It’s an easy way for you to help our school raise money just by paying your gas bill.

To date, Georgia Natural Gas (GNG) has donated nearly $900,000 to Georgia schools. In addition, schools just like ours have raised more than $5,000 in a matter of months through the TrueBlue Schools (TBS) Program! This can easily be our school too, but we need your help.

Similar to other buyer-rewards programs, the first step in helping our school raise money through TrueBlue Schools is by becoming a GNG customer. Here’s how you can sign up:

Our school can raise $5,000, $10,000 or more for Sammy McClure Middle School by community members choosing GNG as their gas service.

Part of the proceeds of the money received from TrueBlue Schools will be used to host a Rachel’s Challenge assembly at SMMS. Rachel’s Challenge is a program that was started by the family of Rachel Joy Scott, who was the first person killed in the Columbine High School tragedy on April 20, 1999. Immediately after the tragedy, her father Darrell began to speak around the nation and used writings and drawings from Rachel's many diaries to illustrate the need for a kinder, more compassionate nation. Today, Darrell and thirty other speakers honor Rachel's life by reaching the nation with Rachel's simple but profound message. You may have heard about Rachel’s Challenge most recently on the morning program of 11Alive News.
