Nebo Elementary School, located in south Paulding County, opened its doors in August of 1997, and we continue to provide an excellent education to students in grades pre kindergarten through five. With more than 900 students, and a staff of more than 100, Nebo offers a safe and inviting environment for our students, parents, and community.
Our Mission is to engage in Learning. Our Vision is to work with our learning community members and our local community members to ensure our students are engaged in a quality educational experience that is provided in a safe, productive environment as they prepare to become contributing lifelong learners in our local and global community.
Each classroom at Nebo is fully networked and many of them are classified as 21st Century classrooms as we add LCD projectors that are used as a part of our instruction.
Nebo’s staff spends much of its time disaggregating data in order to determine the strengths and weakness of our Nebo students. Our students’ data drives our school improvement plan, our purchases made through the allotted budget, our instructional strategies, and resources needed for our students.
In addition to our general education classes, Nebo also offers one class for our Autism students, one class for emotional behavior disorder students, and we are partnered with North West Georgia Psychoeducational Program to offer the only elementary severe behavior disorder classroom in the Paulding County School District. We also offer interrelated services for our exceptional students through the small group, collaborative, and co-teaching models.
Nebo is proud to also offer programs in Physical Education, Music, MusicTech, Art, Computer Education, Early Intervention Program (EIP), Extended Year Program (EYP), After School Program, and Gifted Education.
Nebo has a strong PTA made up of active, caring parents and teachers. Our PTA is well organized and continues to support our students and teachers in all that they do.
Nebo is honored to partner with community members as Partners in Education. We thank Georgia State Bank, Kroger (Ridge Road), Credit Union of Georgia, Chick-fil-A, Subway (Ridge Road), Papa John's, Texas Roadhouse, Staples and Stevi B's Pizza for their support of Nebo through donations and volunteers.
